  1. Old Ways

    February 18, 2010 by rbs0928

Do you remember how our grandparents are telling us of old ways of treatments? For example, for joint pain treatment you must rub it with the gas soaked with ginger. Then, another one is for sprains that we should put heated guava or “gabi” leaves to lessen the swelling.

In this modern world, I don’t think that anyone, except people from provinces, is using those kinds of treatments. Sometimes they don’t believe it anymore, but some still maintain those cures like Chinese people. They are turning over their ancient herbal medicines, from generation to generation. I think it doesn’t matter to me on if it’s an old or new treatment, as long as it fits to cure your sickness, which will be the best thing to have.

  2. Laughter is always the Best Medicine

    by rbs0928

I read on the newspaper that sending text messages causes a radiation that is cancerous. That’s why I have decided to stop – to stop reading newspapers.

  3. Beauty of Friendship

    by rbs0928

My mom always told me that we could never measure our wealth by money but by our friends. She would surely be glad to meet you and know how rich I turned out to be!

  4. Risks and Causes

    by rbs0928

I might say it is okay for me to have slight acne. But please, not nodule acne. We can have treatments on other acne, but of course with nodule acne, but as I can see it’s very hard to heal than other types of acne. I’m glad that I haven’t had that. Though we can say as long as we are getting late night sleeps or other things that cause it, we are still open on having one.

That’s why start living a healthy life, for us not to have anything unwell to come. I knew smoking was one of its many causes, which is what I’m proud of not doing. But the rest are inevitable to do. I hope that it’s not too late to change my ways.

  5. Too Fast

    by rbs0928

There are many ways of burning fats. But everyone wants to know what the fastest way to burn fat is. Of course, why not?

In this busy world like us, we don’t want to take chances on slow things. We will always be left behind if we do. Nobody wants to waste most of their time in doing one thing. We must look for the fastest and easiest as much as we could on everything we do. But just also remember that it doesn’t work in all of the things, some might prefer to be on slowly but surely method. It always depends.

  6. Yet Open Possibility

    January 30, 2010 by rbs0928

I’m glad that the recession is over, as far as I believe. In fact, the recession was in the United States and some countries abroad yet we just got affected in some business here in the Philippines. That sometimes we really don’t know if it is just an alibi for cost cutting of companies and the downfall will be on their employees. I hope that won’t happen again.

And speaking of the downfall, we should have a backup on that. As employed individual, you must be aware of basic and mandatory benefits we need in working for our employer. We must have, just in case, social security disability benefits, medical assistance, etc. that are most important in time of needs. So, all you out there after reading this blog must check with your pay slips if you’ve been deducting contributions with these to claim in the future.

  7. Modern Method

    by rbs0928

Just as the technology rises nowadays, online marketing and selling had risen as fast. Did you heard about the check by phone method of payment? It is an automated payment method when the customers agree to pay. It is not a mandatory method that makes it secured to whoever would like to try. It is for you to choose what do want to use and one of those in the list is that.

I am just wondering what else will rise accompanying our latest technologies? Can we make it as third world country to stay as updated as technology updates? What latest method of payment will be automated then and how secured will that be? Hope that it will help us all in promoting honesty in this world rather not.

  8. Around the World

    by rbs0928

I had this friend abroad who still loves to travel around the world. With her busy time, she is limited on chatting only than browsing the net, that’s why she is always asking me a favor of browsing and booking flights for her. That’s the convenience of having internet connection at home. You can easily have contact with your loves ones and you can browse or search for things needed importantly in your comfort zone.

After having vacation here in the Philippines, then Rome, then Spain, now she wants me to try looking for Jamaica Hotels. Her tour doesn’t have any connections or directions it seems, maybe she just wants to go wherever in her mind pops up. I wish I could also do that without having any problems, especially financially. Whew!

  9. Projects Now and Then

    by rbs0928

My husband’s niece asked me for help research her project on different kinds of cancer. She was assigned to Mesothelioma Cancer, Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer. Her other classmates had also their respective assignments. Their teacher assigned each of them with different kinds of it.

Nowadays, it’s best to have research projects as this because if you have internet connection in your house and a printer that you can afford. Wallah! You have a project specially made by you in a nick of time. Unlike on our previous years, that we have to research in the library reading books, having it photocopied and then typing it in the typewriter. There you have your project then.

  10. High School Life

    January 29, 2010 by rbs0928

I just had a time of reminiscing earlier. Aside from having the best time of our lives on what we have now, with our family of course, our loved ones, career, etc., I can say that high school life indeed was the best among all as it is also stated in a song in late 80’s in recalling to boot.

All our childishness and foolishness as innocent children are there in our memories. Specifically, I remember a time that our adviser cried for having such a “resourceful” advisory class like ours. :D That we used our practical arts tables as ping pong tables. How can you ever think of changing your classroom into a gym? LOL Well, that’s only one of the many memories to treasure those days without regrets.
