    April 10, 2012 by demitinay

A good marketing strategy would guarantee good returns of investment, but entrepreneurs need to advance one step at a time. Here’s how to get started with diamond and gold buying business:

    1. Set a particular amount of capital. Ideally, businessmen would need at least a thousand dollars to start the buying process. Anything below this amount could limit the purchasing power and may lead to more loss than gains.

    2. Acquire proper testing instruments and equipment necessary in determining real ones from not. Inevitably, there are people who would try to sell faux gold and diamonds. It is therefore imperative to have all the necessary tools and know more about the process of telling authentic jewelleries from fakes.

    3. Project price tags for the diamonds and gold being sold. Fortunately, it is easier to know how much you would buy the jewelleries, given that the New York Stock Exchange recognize gold one of the commodities traded. The trick is to get daily updates from news papers of television news program to find out the value of gold and to determine your profit.

  3. Pricing A Virtual Office For Rent

    March 28, 2012 by demitinay

When you are pricing a virtual office for rent, it is essential to know the level of service offered by the virtual office for the price. Are they taking messages to be forwarded on to you or are they assisting with appointment booking and accepting orders? Higher rents are justified when they avoid the additional cost of a salesperson or appointment setter. You may want to consider having web based video conferencing.

How secure is the information held by the virtual office? Can you get discounts on services like teleconferencing or online data backups through the virtual office? Does the virtual office have technical support available when the messaging and communication applications fail? Can you hire your own virtual assistant to research information and create reports, or does the virtual office require you to contract these services through their employees? If you must hire their staff for virtual assistant work, are the rates competitive? If you want to hire their virtual assistants, can you get a discount due to the existing business relationship?

  4. About Virtual Office

    by demitinay

Virtual offices are a new form of office space. A virtual office provides a mailing address other than the consultant or freelancer’s home. Virtual offices often allow you to tap into the location’s administrative functions as part of the rental price or for a small fee. You may want to consider mothers rings as gifts.

Below are the questions you may ask when considering a virtual office for yourself:

When a call screener or message forwarding service is offered, how accurate and reliable are these services? If the call center uses scripts for answering phone calls, are you able to select the scripts they will use with your customers? What services are standard with the virtual office, such as mail forwarding and package receipt? Which services are additional, such as travel booking and appointment setting? What are the hours of the telephone answering service? Are phone calls received 24×7 or only during standard business hours? Does the answering service speak the language your customers understand?

  7. The Benefits of a Cold Shower

    February 2, 2012 by demitinay

A lot of people prefer bathing using warm water. In one of Marco Polo’s visits to an ancientcity in China called Kinsai, he mentioned that the Chinese actually prefer bathing in cold water as compared to the foreigners who were then visiting the great city. He inferred that cold shower is healthier than a warm shower.

For somebody who prefers hot or warm shower, this strikes me as odd and prompted me to investigate. Is cold shower really that beneficial to the body?

Well, here’s what I found out:
    1. Cold shower improves blood circulation.
    2. It relieves depression because a cold shower elicits a reaction from the brain’s “blue spot”—which is is the primary source of an noradrenaline. Noradrenaline is known to mitigate depression.
    3. It keeps hair and skin healthy.
    4. Strengthens immunity. A 1993 Thrombosis Research Institute study has found out that cold showers increase the number of white blood cells in the body.

These are just at the top of the long list of benefits. But these are enough to convince me to go for cold instead of hot.

  8. Remedy to a Sty (Kuliti)-

    January 24, 2012 by demitinay

For two days now before I thought about buying sidi cobra boots, I’ve been plagued by that we, Filipinos, call a “kuliti” or sty in English. A sty is the condition when the oil gland at the base of the eyelash gets infected. I’m quite lucky actually since my right eye is not that swollen. But, hen I say plagued, I really mean it. Not only is it really itchy, it also is painful. Even the simple actions such as blinking seem so painful. The only funny thing about having a sty is the jokes people keep on throwing at me– yes, it is believed in the Philippines that a sty is the punishment for a peeping tom.

Anyway, friends told me 2 ways to cure a sty. The first to remove an eyelash closes to the swollen area to relieve the swelling and the second is to warm compress the area every 5 hours. They claim that these methods really work. I’m trying both so wish me luck. :)

  10. The Burden of a Gift

    December 23, 2011 by demitinay

Well, ‘tis the season to be jolly. And yep, it is the season for giving—though I confess, it seems like I’m on the receiving end here. This whole week, I’ve been receiving gifts from various people at work and quite frankly, I’m feeling a little pressured. I know what you’re thinking; that I’m just a little too paranoid and that their gifts don’t mean I have to send one back. But I can’t help it. I’m having this feeling like I need to give back.

In fairness to me, I do want to give back. But I’ve never given gifts before (not counting exchange gifts). I don’t give gifts not because I don’t want to. Sometimes I do want to give gifts but I always have a problem with the choosing part. And I’m always afraid that my gift won’t be appreciated. And because I’m too concerned with my gift, I end up not giving any. But this year, I really want to give gifts. I hope I will be able to give this year. Wish me luck!
